Elysia Vandenbussche (CR ’11) recently published an original hand-made book featuring 40 photographs of the Vitrine Chair, alongside creative writing that includes a 38-page interview by Elysia in dialogue with the Vitrine Chair.

This approach of experimental writing became a tool for reflection that offers an intimate vignette into a multifaceted art practice that explores the object, materials, relations, time, memory, and the self. This work began with a question, “Do I hold the object or does the object hold me?”, and ends in a question, leaving gaps for the reader’s own thoughts to arise. The book dances on the edges of our desire to transform, evolve, and be held. Elysia is the author, editor, lead creative, and independent publisher of this limited edition hardcover volume.
