University system plans to sell UGA's President's House, cites rising maintenance costs - University of Georgia

The home, which is located at 570 Prince Ave., has served as the official residence for the president of the University of Georgia since 1949, when it was purchased by the USG with funds donated to UGA for that purpose. Over the past 70 plus years, seven presidents have lived there. However, with its 9,000 square feet of reception and living space and approximately 5 acres of grounds, the property has become increasingly costly and challenging to maintain.
