Chatham University President Rhonda Phillips doesn’t anticipate any faculty layoffs or further staff layoffs at the Shadyside school that is currently battling a multi-million dollar deficit. “I think we're through the worst of it now,” Ms. Phillips told the Post-Gazette. “I don't see that happening unless we have something unforeseen like another COVID pandemic or something that affects everyone… We have literally turned the corner much quicker than we thought we would.”
