The Olivet Board of Trustees approved the change unanimously at a May 19 meeting, according to President Steven M. Corey.
Given the schools 179-year history, the name change is intended to reflect the stronger, bolder, and forward-looking array of new programs and enrollment of new students, according to President Corey.
President Corey said more changes are expected including, new signage, a new spirit logo, and a new domain name.
