Ohio State asks U.S. Supreme Court to overturn decision to reinstate Strauss sexual abuse cases

CLEVELAND, Ohio— Ohio State University officials on Tuesday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a lower court’s decision to reinstate lawsuits filed by hundreds of former students who were sexually abused by Richard Strauss, a longtime doctor at the school.

Public Justice, a nonprofit legal advocacy organization that is part of a team of attorneys representing more than 100 plaintiffs in the case, criticized Ohio State for asking the Supreme Court to review the case instead of letting the cases proceed.
