What made you decide to apply for an ACUHO-I Internship?
As a first-year doctoral student, I knew I wanted to take my first summer to engage in work that would allow me to continue developing as a practitioner. This ACUHO-i cycle will be my second internship experience, and because of that, I knew that I wanted access to an internship that would challenge me in a different way. In my role, I will work on special projects, collaborate with team members, and learn what it means to be a remote practitioner! I am excited to be working with Roompact because I know that the team is as excited to learn from me as I am from them!
What do you do to refill your bucket?
I like spending time with either friends, family, or my cat, Phoebe (bonus if it’s all three at once). I find joy in being outside, going to the gym, hiking, camping, or learning new hobbies. I spend a lot of time coffee-shop-hopping. You can also find me sitting down and probably absorbing too much reality TV on Netflix. I am also a musician, so it isn’t uncommon to find me singing too loud in my apartment, pretending that my Residence Hall walls are not too thin!
What is a fun fact that not many people know about you?
I am a percussionist! In fact, I’ve played at Carnegie Hall!I haven’t played since my undergraduate experience due to access to instruments, but I have hopes and dreams to get back into a studio one day to play marimba!
What is something you are proud of?
I am proud to be engaging in an ACUHO-i experience with a company that truly centers the care and wellness of its employees while providing exemplary customer service and a curriculum that helps RAs nationwide succeed. Also, I recently published my first article! Whoop!
