Fluker is curator of African American collections in the Stuart A. Rose Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library at Emory University in Atlanta. He earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Morehouse College in Atlanta and master’s and doctoral degrees in American studies from Emory University.
