NACADA’s 2022 Annual Service Project

NACADA’s 2022 Annual Service Project

What is a Service Project?

The NACADA conference service project is an important part of the annual conference with the goal of leaving positive impact on the host city. Previous projects have included fundraising efforts, food drives, clothing drives and book donations. The Portland 2022 conference planning committee has selected Self Enhancement, Inc. (SEI) [selfenhancement.org] as our partner organization for this year’s conference service project.

Who is SEI?

SEI has served the North Portland community for more than 40 years, providing culturally responsive education and social services to help youth and their families realize their full potential. They work with local schools, families and community organization to provide a wide range of services including, but not limited to: food and housing support, childcare, and student support services (scholarships, internships, etc.).

What can we do?

NACADA members can donate electronically to the conference service project through an online donation link. https://www.selfenhancement.org/nacada [selfenhancement.org] Cash collection buckets will also be available on site at the conference. Any donation amount is welcome and will be put to good use.

  • $5 donated provides school supplies for a student
  • $10 provides a week of after-school meals for a student
  • $25 provides a buss pass for a college student
  • $50 provides a week of groceries for a young family

The planning committee has set a goal of raising $5,000 for this organization.
