Tana Fitzpatrick, University of Oklahoma

Tana Fitzpatrick Lois ElfmanTana Fitzpatrick was named associate vice president of tribal relations at the University of Oklahoma (OU) in March 2022. A member of the Crow Tribe of Montana and a Sioux, Ponca and Chickasaw descendent, Fitzpatrick, an attorney, previously served as a specialist in natural resources policy for the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress. In her position at OU, she serves as a strategic adviser to the Office of the President on university relationships with tribal nations and indigenous communities. Her work includes fostering, growing, and sustaining collaborative partnerships between OU and tribal nations and indigenous communities.
