LexPreLaw uses a cohort-based model of engaging and observing participants. In 2024, LexPreLaw will enroll 225 aspiring lawyers who already possess or will obtain a bachelor’s degree by August 2025 and who plan to seek law school admission for the Fall 2025 entering class.
LexPreLaw slots will be filled on a first-come, first-selected basis. The 2024-25 program application will open on March 18, 2024, at 8:30 am ET. The sooner all required documents are submitted, the better the applicant’s chance of being selected for LexPreLaw.
The program includes:
- Admission Counseling Group (50 participants):
- Ongoing admission counseling throughout the application process, beginning in June 2024
- 8-week online LSAT prep course from Kaplan, with multiple start dates during summer 2024
- Guided access to financial education and law school informational resources from AccessLex
- Financial assistance
- Exclusive access to special events, program staff, and current and past LexPreLaw participants

Eligibility
During the 2024-2025 cycle, LexPreLaw will enroll 225 participants. To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a member of a racial, ethnic, and/or socioeconomic group that is underrepresented in legal education.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or will receive a bachelor’s degree by August 2025.
- Plan to seek law school admission for the Fall 2025 entering class.
- Have an existing LSAT score and have scored no higher than the 25th percentile.
- Have not previously enrolled in a J.D. program at an ABA-approved law school.
- Submit all required application materials while slots are still available.
