Dion Harry Harry is a North Carolina State University doctoral candidate studying higher education opportunity, equity, and justice.

California State University (CSU) system employees who are members of the California Faculty Association (CFA) will go on strike next week, starting Monday. Dr. Christopher Cox Cal State University The multi-day strike – from Jan. 22-26. – was prompted by the faculty union’s demands not being met, including the pay increases they asked for. The union is asking for 12%-raises, though the school system is offering increases of just 5% after recent negotiations.

He served as an assistant coach and as a scout for several teams in the National Basketball Association. Ellis, who played professional basketball in Greece and spent three seasons in the NBA, is a graduate of Morehouse College.

In November, the Student Loans Company noted the “first potential yet small decline in the take-up of postgraduate doctoral student loans,” with sums borrowed in 2022–23 down by 12.3 percent. This year marks 100 since Spelman Baptist Seminary became Spelman College, the all-women HBCU in the heart of Atlanta, Ga., which we know today. And as of Thursday, Spelman has set another historical milestone centered around the wonderfully round number. On Thursday, the Atlanta-based liberal arts institutions received a $100 million donation. It is believed to be the single-largest one-time donation ever granted to an HBCU.

Spelman College, a historically Black women’s college in Atlanta, has received a $100 million gift, the largest single donation to an HBCU in history, according to a press release from the college Thursday. The donation is from businesswoman and philanthropist Ronda Stryker, a member of Spelman’s Board of Trustees since 1997, and her husband, William Johnston, chairman of the wealth management firm Greenleaf Trust.
